99 Keyword Domains Available for Hand Registration

Imagine that, two available domain lists in two days time. I wanted to follow up today since I stated in yesterday's post that I'd be doing them more often. 99 unregistered keyword dot com's in today's list. These aren't expiring domains, you can head to your favorite registrar and pick them up now (time of post) if you so choose.

Yesterday's list went over pretty well. At the time of writing, 36 of the 97 domains have been registered which is a 37% registration rate. I'm sure a few more will get picked off over the next couple of days.

More Algorithm Changes at Google

Yesterday Google announced an algorithm change designed to target sites with excessive advertising blocks above the fold. Google wants to improve the experience of its search users by penalizing sites with content that is hard to find.

Looks to me like another update designed specifically to weed out splogs and "made for Adsense" sites. They acknowledge that it's common for many quality sites to have advertising above the fold and sites that place ads to a "normal" degree will not be affected.

They go on to say...

This algorithmic change noticeably affects less than 1% of searches globally. That means that in less than one in 100 searches, a typical user might notice a reordering of results on the search page.

As always, Google's advice to publishers is to focus on providing the best possible user experience to their visitors. Doing so will limit any exposure to SERP fluctuations due to alrorithm adjustments.

Here is the rundown on the Godaddy expired domain auctions ending Wednesday, January 17th. Overall, a nice list and larger than usual. I wasn't as critical in terms of search volume for this list. If something sounded good and made sense, I left it in. In terms of metrics alone, AlcoholAllergySymptoms.com looks like the standout domain in this list. It's got a healthy search volume going for it along with a high CPC value.
