Good morning,
I want to thank you personally first and foremost for the service that you provide. I would also like to thank Esa from estibot who gave me your site as a reference. Both of you provided me with valuable information as a new domainer and do not ask a thing in return. Why aren’t there more people like you, not only in the domaining arena, but across the globe. The world would be a much better place if more people just helped other people out and didn’t ask for anything in return.
I began domaining about 4 months ago. Like most of us, I went on a hand regging spree ( Esa, if you read this somehow, it wasn’t as bad as yours- what did you say $8000 or something like that? ; ) But I did put myself in the hole pretty bad on garbage hand regs. Since then, with teh advice of good hearted, experienced domainers, I have found a niche that I am pursuing. I have not made money yet as I am still learning and saving for development costs, but the information passed down to me is invaluable.
Everytime someone writes a response to one of my “noob” questions, it reminds me that there are still good people in this world. HAd Esa, or members of DNForum, or people like Todd Johnson or Rob Monster never took the time to guide me and teach me certain things about domaining- my portfolio would be 100% garbage with no future potential. After two months of hard work and research, I have grabbed some pretty decent product/keyword domains that have potential for development and are winnable niches.
Availabledomainnames.com has taught me a lot as well and has become a valuable resource for me. It is packed with very VALUABLE information and is certainly a place I like to frequent. The person who runs it is a very professional and stand up guy from what I hear and really provides a great service to domainers which is commendable.
I wanted to finally give my input and comment on this site and the domain industry in general. Yes there are jerks out there who are only out for themselves, but there are also genuine and caring people who jsut want other people to succeed as well. As long as you are willing to listen and be told what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it, you can do great in domaining. Stick with the winners and you too can become one!
