High Quality .ORG Domain Names Are Dropping Every Day

.org domain namesHas anybody else noticed the number of quality .org domain names that have been dropping lately? I'm not talking about paying $60 to drop catchers either. I'm talking expired .org domains that are coming out the other side and available for hand registration fees.

I've seen a lot of debate about the merits of the .org extension. Many question whether you should develop commercial sites on them. I get all that but when I see a highly competitive, exact match keyword available in a top level domain extension I'm jumping on it, especially at registration fee. I've regged several in the past few days. Sites built on .org domains will rank if built properly and at these prices you can compete for keyword phrases that would cost you thousands to acquire the .com.

Here is a quick list of .org domain names that have dropped in the past two days and are still available for hand registration.

The following .org domain names were available for registration at the time of this post

Acquisitive.org
Adored.org

Plenty can be done on .org’s!

Why should anyone invest in a .org when they can invest in a .info? I have been watching for months and .info consistently is being registered more than .org. Look at the website I have attached.

The .info suffix also has more meaning and is understood in over 32 languages around the world.

It’s my personal opinion that .info doesn’t carry nearly the authority or trust that the .org extension does. An easy explanation of why so many .info’s are being registered would be the fact that they can usually be bought at $1.99. Godaddy is currently running a sale at .89 cents. They’re practically giving them away.

There will be almost 1000 nice .org domains expiring in next 2 months and can be bought or back-ordered via namejet.com

Definitely some goodies to be had on the .ORG drops. I grab 1-2 a week. Still have to stick to the cream of the crop — just because a name might make a great .com does not translate into a great .org. The .org truly has to stand out. And there is competition, so the very best ones will =always= get backordered or grabbed via API.
