Thanks for doing this!
All the great .net names got me wondering how much of a drop off in traffic one can expect when evaluating a .net vs a .com? I guess that’s more pertinent to type-in traffic, maybe good SEO levels the playing field between .com’s and .net’s. Any ideas?
.net’s will absolutely get significantly less type-in traffic but from an SEO standpoint the quality of .net keyword domains that drop are much better on average than the .com’s. Great .com keyword domains rarely drop. I started including the .net’s on this blog because there’s a shift in focus among domainers towards development. I really don’t know if .net’s are handicapped by Google at all but I’d personally rather develop a category killer .net than an average .com that has minimal search volume on it’s keywords. If you have a higher acquisition budget your best bet is to invest in the premium .com’s.
Thanks for including the additional extension names. Hope you continue to do so. Thanks for all you do.
