His reference involves trademark owners granting renewable licenses to domain owners allowing them to continue to use a disputed domain as long as it's within the guidelines of the license. MidgeRepellent.com jumps out at me as it reminds me of last years Yankees-Indians playoff game where a swarm of midges descended on Jacob's Field and changed the course of the game.

"Midge repellent" has over 5,500 Google results with plenty of advertisers bidding on the term. It's not a large niche, but it's well targeted.
