Estibot’s Search Popularity and Keyword Suggestion Tool

I've been a big fan of Estibot.com for quite some time. Long before I discovered Estibot, I was using many of the same metrics it uses to make buying decisions on domain names. I was looking up that data from a variety of sources and then compiling it into a spreadsheet for review. Needless to say, Estibot saves a lot of time when you want a quick overview of the keyword metrics behind a domain.
Automated domain name appraisals seem to be a lightning rod for controversy. Almost every domain forum thread discussing them seems to deteriorate into two sides arguing over their accuracy. I think that most people are missing the true benefit of Estibot. That benefit being the quick calculation of keyword specific data presented in an easy to understand format to help you make educated domain name buying decisions. The actual appraisal value is just a small piece of the pie and many times I disregard it based off what the other data is telling me. Google frequency, anchor text, in title, in URL, backlinks, Alexa, PPC ads, Overture and Wordtracker scores; it's all in there and all on one page. It's like Prego.
Estibot.com recently added an unbelievably fast search popularity and keyword suggestion tool. Start typing a keyword(s) and Estibot instantly returns additional keyword terms complete with Overture scores, Google frequency results and also the number of advertisers bidding on those terms. It's very useful for a variety of research including brainstorming and niche development. Did I mention how fast it is? Go check it out.

Domain Names Available for Registration #42

The Domaining Industry is receiving more publicity from the mainstream media due to a recent article in The Observer titled "Trade in Web Names Worth Millions." The article is bases off the experiences of a UK domainer named Neil Stanley and has on overall positive vibe. Believe it or not, no mention of "cybersquatting" is made which is a refreshing departure from the usual coverage received by the Domain Industry from the mainstream media.
Another Ebay domain name auction caught by eye (see below). The domain is iSearch.com (nice domain). I believe it might be a publicity play with no genuine intent to actually sell the name. This opinion is based off the fact that the iSearch.com domain auction has a hidden reserve which has not been met while Google's cache of the ISearch.com website shows a previous asking price of $750K. It's not very likely that this domain will sell on Ebay if this ends up being the reserve price.

Ramp.com is Up for Auction on Ebay.com

Earlier this evening, while reviewing the Domains on Ebay page I noticed a listing for Ramp.com. It's not often that you see a domain of this quality listed on the Ebay Marketplace. After visiting the auction listing I became suspicious for a couple of reasons. One, the seller has a monumental feedback of (2). Second, the rather short auction description states that the "domain name being sold pursuant to court order."
I was gearing up to fire off a question to the seller but decided to check a few of the domain forums first. Namepros.com member Randomo was already on top of it and had received an explanation from the seller earlier today. The explanation reads that Ramp.com is owned by Ramp Corporation which is being liquidated by U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York (read the full post here).
The little bit of research I did seems to check out as the company does appears to be in financial trouble due to securities fraud and the name Ron Munkittrick, which appears in Randomo's post as the officer in charge of coordinating the liquidation also appears on Yahoo's Ramp Corporation company profile page as the Interim CEO.
Interesting to say the least. Do not take my word for it and please do your own due diligence if you decide to pursue this domain. Ramp auction link (aff) below:
